Magma Guitar Duo, formed by Icelandic guitarists Óskar Magnússon and Svanur Vilbergsson, is known for its expressive and engaging performances. Dedicated to enhancing the voice of the classical guitar in modern music, Magma Guitar Duo has closely collaborated with contemporary composers in Iceland such as Guðmundur Steinn Gunnarsson, Ari Hálfdan Aðalgeirsson, Daniele Basini, and Oliver Kentish.
They both perform on handcrafted instruments by renowned luthier Glenn Canin, whose guitars are known for their exceptional clarity, power and qualities that complement the duo’s refined musical vision.
